Self-Publishing – How to Get Your Book on Amazon
Now that you’ve self-published your novel, you may be wondering how to get your book on Amazon. You could! And it is easier than you could want to list your publication on the planet’s biggest book store.
Ecom Income blueprint levels the playing field for smaller presses and also self-publishers by attempting to sell our books right alongside novels from the largest New York publishing houses. My novels are available on Amazon since 2000, and I have sold plenty of books through them-books that I might not need sold without Amazon.com.
Here is how to Receive your book on Amazon:
If your publication is published with means of a subsidy or vanity writer, they will list your book on Amazon. If you are self-published and own a distributor, they may handle having the book into the Amazon catalogue. But if you are self-published and don’t have a distributor, the easiest solution to receive your novel on Amazon.com will be to join Amazon Advantage.
To engage in Advantage, you also must have supply rights, as well as your publication must possess a scannable barcode of this ISBN. You receive 45% of their retail cost of your publication, Amazon gets 55%. The quantity you are paid is based on the retail price you set for the book, and is not affected if Amazon chooses to discount the purchase price at which they sell the book.
There are authors who don’t like Amazon demands a 55% reduction. They believe that Amazon should be given a discount comparable to that which other book stores would receive, such as 40%. But, Amazon.com is not your normal book shop.
If you sell to Amazon via a wholesaler or distributor, you will have to devote at the very least a 55% reduction and probably more. And, it will take more time to get the amount from anybody else. The wholesaler or distributor would pay time after they were paid by Amazon, therefore it’d probably take at least 1 month more to get the cash. Along with my experience whenever I’ve sold directly into book stores is that is often takes a few months to get paid. I have not had to so much as send an invoice or a contact to get paid, on time, by Amazon. Plus, no publication store may supply you with the worldwide visibility you get on Amazon.com.
Whenever you’re in the Benefit plan, you send books to Amazon and they fulfill orders to clients. When those novels sell, Amazon will order more. Expect that your very first orders will probably be for one or two books, but as sales get they’ll dictate more at any given moment.
